We thought it would be interesting to look at how the Valparaiso course #VCA has changed and progressed each year since it started. After some research we were only able to find POV videos of the entire course dating back to 2010 (and one video from 2009 which only shows part of the course course included at the end of the post). One thing is clear and that’s the huge improvements made in video quality from helmet mounted cameras since 2009! So lets dive right in with the first video…
An interesting angle in this first video from 2010, a little hard to see as the camera is seat post mounted.
We couldn’t see any changes between the 2010 and 2011 courses, if there’s any eagle eyed readers who spot something lets us now in the comments.
2012 is the year the organizers start making significant changes to the course.
The Valparaiso Cerro Abajo is getting more popular, and it’s clear more organization has gone into the event in recent years. With urban downhill events set to get even more popular we can only expect more good things from this event in years to come.
HC Racer aims to collect the best helmet camera (POV) mountain biking videos available on the web. We spend hours trawling videos to bring you all the best videos so that you don't have to.
But this is just the beginning, we have big plans for this site and what you see here will become just a small part of a much larger site.
